Wood's Plus SWIFT RIDE, METRO RIDE, METRO SPECIAL, COMMUNITY ASSISTANCE, and LIMITED ASSISTANCE Ride Services provide on-demand, same day non-medical transportation to residents and visitors of Gardner and specified surrounding cities and towns.

Unlike taxis, SWIFT RIDE is a non-hail, rideshare service. Just call Wood's beforehand to book your ride. Only those who reserved the vehicle will be in it during your ride. The $10 per ride cost, regardless of the number of people in the party, is set specifically to help keep the operation of SWIFT RIDE as affordable as possible for the people of Gardner traveling within the city limits.
These rides offer the same great service as Gardner's SWIFT RIDE, but are now available for travel to communities outside of Gardner.

Use Community Assistance for planned in-town errands and appointments. Includes established wait time or return trip on availability.
COMMUNITY ASSISTANCE customers must be ambulatory (able to walk on their own with no assistance). Community Assistance service is curb-to-curb, and customers must be able to handle all bags and belongings themselves.
Scheduled pick-up time. $50 plus $5 per mile.
Like COMMUNITY ASSISTANCE, LIMITED ASSISTANCE service is for planned in-Gardner errands/appointments with established wait time or return trip upon request availability. LIMITED ASSISTANCE customers are ones who may require assistance walking or need help with carrying items.
Wood's Plus LIMITED ASSISTANCE service is door to door.
