what areas does wood's ambulance serve?

We serve all of the Greater Gardner/Athol/Northern Worcester County area, but are also able to provide scheduled transportation outside of our region.
How many ambulances do you have?

Wood's currently operates 8 Ambulances, 6 Chair Vans and a 12 Ambulatory/2 Wheelchair Bus.
What kind of serviceS do you provide?

Wood's provides Emergent and Non-emergent Medical Transportation — always centered around and focused on the patient's needs.
Do you take my insurance? Are your services covered?

Yes. All ambulance services must accept all insurances. We contract with multiple insurance companies, but encourage you to call your insurance company ahead of a scheduled transport to confirm what services are covered by your plan.
Can I call you directly, or do I have to call 911?

In the event of an emergency, 911 is always the best number to reach Emergency Services. If you need to contact us directly, you can also do so at 1-800-287-1530.
Do you only provide emergency transportation?

Wood's Ambulance provides all Medical Transportation including, but not limited to, Emergencies, Interfacility Transports, Specialty Care Transports and other scheduled trips. Call us to find out more at 1-800-287-1530.
Can I choose which ambulance company I’m transported by after a hospital stay?

Your basic patient rights state that you have the right to choose which ambulance company you are transported by as long as your health isn’t at an immediate risk. If you wish to schedule a transport with Woods Ambulance, please call us at 1-800-287-1530.
Are you hiring? how do I submit an application for current or future openings?

Can you provide CPR training courses for the general public?

Yes. We provide many training courses that are open to the general public. This is not only limited to CPR. For the full list of Training Courses please check the Training Page of the website or call us at 978-632-6352.
